Arthur W Simpson Arts & Crafts Oak Dresser with a projecting cornice with scalloped edge above three plate racks, the base with rectangular top above two panelled doors internally fitted with a shelf to one cupboard and a cutlery drawer to the other, the piece standing on square supports, bears remains of maker’s paper label to back

Condition:  sympathetically restored by our expect restorers

Note: Arthur William Simpson (1857-1922) a native of Kendal served an apprenticeship at Gillows before setting up a workshop in Kendal in 1885. He exhibited regularly at the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society
